The name says it all, really — this place feels like you’ve stumbled onto something special that most tourists haven’t discovered yet. It’s one of those four-star properties that punches above its weight, and after spending a few days here, I can see why couples are absolutely raving about it (they’re giving the location a perfect 10, which is pretty remarkable).

The Secret Beach Setting

Secret Beach itself is about a 20-minute golf cart ride north of San Pedro, and honestly, that little journey is part of the charm. You’re trading the busier Ambergris Caye scene for something much more intimate and peaceful. The resort sits right on this gorgeous stretch of sand where the water stays shallow for what feels like forever — perfect for just wading out and floating around with a drink. I mean, you can walk out probably 100 yards and still be chest-deep, which makes it ideal for couples who want that postcard-perfect beach experience without fighting crowds.

Accommodations and Comfort

The villas themselves are spacious and thoughtfully designed, with each room offering direct beach access or stunning ocean views. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to blend comfort with that laid-back Caribbean vibe — you’ve got all the amenities you need without feeling like you’re in some sterile resort bubble. The private beach area means you’re never scrambling for a good spot, and there’s something really satisfying about having your own slice of paradise just steps from your door.

Dining and Daily Rhythms

Breakfast here is actually quite impressive for a place this size — they’ve got continental options, American classics, and even vegan choices, which isn’t something you always find in Belize. The restaurant keeps things fresh and local, and I found myself looking forward to starting each day with coffee and fresh fruit while watching the water change colors as the sun came up. You know what’s nice? There’s free parking right on site, which might seem like a small thing, but when you’re renting a golf cart to explore the area, it’s one less thing to worry about.

  Amazing location away from everything, yet so comfortable. We swam and kayaked, found beaches all to ourselves. The plunge pool was cool and beautiful and the rooftop lounge was amazing. Staff were kind and helpful without being intrusive.

  Everything about this beachfront villa was perfect. My husband and I were welcomed by the friendly property manager Celeste and were pleasantly surprised with balloons as we were celebrating our anniversary. The studio apartment was very clean, stylish, and roomy and had the best ocean and lagoon views. The studio was well-equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast options and the convenience of having a restaurant and bar on site. The food was always tasty and the service was quick. We especially loved the private beach and the amazing water. It was nice to be away from the busyness of Secret Beach but also convenient enough that we were not far away from anything.
  The entire property was well kept and the staff always made sure we were okay and asked if we needed anything. Shoutout to Lee, Silvia, Justin, and Celeste for making our 3-night stay at the villa an amazing and memorable experience. 3 dogs live on site and were extremely friendly. We can't wait to come back.

  Excellent location in secret beach away from the bars. Staff is exceptional and the cutest dog (thimble) you could ask for. The roof top deck and rooms have outstanding views of this special area. Bed was very comfortable and unit is well appointed including local coffee beans to watch the sunrise over the ocean.

  The owner and the entire staff are incredible.The property is beautiful and special, located on a beautiful beachfront property with a lagoon in the back, and if you want privacy, there are natural undisturbed beaches just steps away, all with incredible beautiful water.
  Food: a very important part of our getaway, and the chef is top notch, creating delicious meals for us all. I especially enjoyed a perfect Filet Mignon with mild garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a delicious chef salad and the Fry Jack breakfast.
  We have already booked our getaway back to this piece of heaven on earth

  Lee and Celeste were exceptional . They took care of any of our needs and go above and beyond with no hesitation. Lee is very hard working and keeps the Villa Immaculate . Celeste was very punctual with any arrangements we needed or made during our stay. The Grinage family thanks both of you and will definitely be staying there again soon.
