You can golf cart into town in about five minutes — and trust me, you’ll want to explore the local restaurants and bars. The resort provides parking if you’re bringing a cart, which is actually pretty convenient since most places on the island don’t offer that. What really struck me is how the location works for both adventure seekers and couples looking for romance (apparently couples rate the spot 9.3, and I can see why).

The room I stayed in was part of their casita collection, and the attention to detail was impressive. These aren’t your typical resort rooms — they feel more like private villas with thatched roofs and local hardwood furnishings. Each accommodation has its own character, some with private pools, others with direct beach access. The bathrooms are particularly well-designed, with rain showers that actually have good water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in tropical destinations).

The main restaurant focuses on fresh seafood and local ingredients, and their lobster is honestly some of the best I’ve had anywhere. They also do a great job with international dishes if you need a break from Caribbean cuisine. The spa treatments incorporate local ingredients like coconut and sea salt — I tried their signature massage and it was exactly what I needed after a day of snorkeling. What I appreciated is that they don’t oversell the wellness aspect; it’s there when you want it but never feels pushy.

  The Continental breakfast was great. I loved that they brought it to you and you didn’t have to eat buffet style. The chef and wait staff did a great job accommodating my gluten free needs and even put a sticker on my plate indicating it was gluten free. It was also so nice to have everything organized for us. Victoria House scheduled our flights in and off the island and booked our fishing tour. The fishing tour with Roberto was incredible. My husband even got to dive for lobsters seeing that the season had just opened.

  The location is great – right on the water with a lot of beach space and 2 pools. The pools had a good amount of chair and umbrellas so it never felt crowded. The room was great – comfortable bed, clean, good bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were both great
