Ramon’s Village Resort Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Ramon’s Village Resort feels like stepping into a Caribbean postcard — and I mean that in the best possible way. The thatched-roof buildings and palm-lined pathways immediately transport you from the dusty streets of San Pedro into this tropical oasis. It’s a four-star property that honestly punches above its weight, especially when you consider you’re literally steps from some of Belize’s best diving spots. The whole place has this laid-back island vibe that makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re right on Coconut Drive, which means you can walk to pretty much everything in San Pedro without dealing with golf cart taxis (though honestly, those are half the fun). The beach access is immediate, and I mean immediate — no trudging through other resorts or public areas. What really surprised me was how quiet it stays despite being so central. Couples especially seem to get this, rating the location a solid 9.4, and after spending time here, I totally understand why.
The Room Experience
The accommodations have that authentic Caribbean charm without feeling rustic or uncomfortable. My room had this perfect balance of local character and modern amenities — think wooden furnishings and tile floors that actually keep things cool in the tropical heat. The air conditioning works well (crucial in Belize), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. You know what I appreciated most? The little details like having a coffee maker that actually makes decent coffee and enough parking space that you don’t have to worry if you’ve rented a car to explore the mainland.
Activities & Amenities
This is where Ramon’s Village really shines. The fishing here is absolutely incredible — they’ll set you up with everything from fly fishing to deep-sea excursions, and the staff actually knows what they’re talking about. The spa treatments are perfect after a long day on the water, nothing fancy but exactly what you need. I also tried the canoeing, which sounds simple but gives you access to some really beautiful mangrove areas that most tourists never see. The dive shop on-site is top-notch too, which makes sense given Belize’s reputation for world-class diving.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is that Ramon’s Village gets the balance right between authentic Belizean hospitality and tourist comfort. The restaurant serves solid local dishes alongside familiar options, so you can be adventurous or play it safe depending on your mood. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there, which makes a huge difference in how welcome you feel. With an 8.9 rating from recent guests, it’s clear that most people leave feeling like they’ve discovered something special — not just another resort, but a real taste of what makes Belize so captivating.

Love the feel and ambiance of the resort. Very tropical – felt more like Polynesian Islands than Belize, but still amazing. It has everything you need so you don’t need to go anywhere else! The value for the resort and rooms were above my expectations. Don’t stay anywhere else! Staff go out of your way to be helpful. They provide airport transportation though it’s only yards away (an easy walk even with a suitcase). Room is quaint, but has everything you need. Didn’t try the restaurant, but everything looked good and prices seemed reasonable. The Ramon’s Dive Shop looked like a one stop shop for all things related to tours, equipment and supplies needed, and helpful guides. I wish I booked my tours through them (will do so next time). A long pier from the resort where you can jump into the (warm!) ocean. The resort is situated on the beach with lounge chairs to watch the sunrise. Can walk out for a quick dip and back. Pool is cooler but refreshing. Poolside bar does have a TV so was able to catch the football game. Spa was amazing!!!! I would have a facial there everyday if I could. Don’t go anywhere else for a facial! Be aware that most of the resorts public space was out in the open, but the many trees provide a lot of shade when walking around.

The decor and styling was amazing, it's a little jungle oasis bringing you some calm, quiet and enjoyable escape from the hectic streets outside the resort. All the food was great and staff were amazing. Diving and snorkeling crews were great. High quality boats and equipment. Had an amazing time.
