Ramon’s Village Resort Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Ramon’s Village Resort feels like stepping into a tropical postcard — but the good kind, where everything actually lives up to the photos. This four-star resort sits right on Coconut Drive in San Pedro, and honestly, the moment you see those thatched-roof cabanas scattered along the beach, you know you’ve found something special. The whole place has this laid-back Caribbean vibe that’s polished enough to feel like a real treat, but not so fancy that you can’t walk around in flip-flops.

Location & What’s Around

You know what really struck me about this place? The location is absolutely perfect — and I’m not just saying that because couples apparently give it a 9.4 rating (though that tells you something). You’re literally steps from some of Belize’s best diving and snorkeling spots, which is kind of the whole point of coming to San Pedro. The resort sits on a gorgeous stretch of beach where you can actually see the barrier reef from shore on clear days. Plus, you’re close enough to town that you can wander over for dinner or drinks, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with crowds or noise.

The Room Experience

The accommodations here are what I’d call “tropical comfortable” — think rustic charm meets modern amenities. My room had this great thatched roof that made me feel like I was staying in a beachside village, but with air conditioning that actually worked (trust me, that matters in Belize). The beds are solid, the bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, and most rooms have either ocean or garden views. I mean, even the garden views are pretty spectacular when you’re surrounded by palm trees and tropical flowers.

Activities & Amenities

This is where Ramon’s Village really shines — they’ve got fishing, canoeing, and a spa that’s perfect after a long day in the sun. The fishing here is legendary (we’re talking world-class tarpon and bonefish), and the staff actually knows what they’re doing when it comes to setting up trips. The canoeing is great for exploring the mangroves, and honestly, it’s one of those peaceful activities that makes you forget about everything back home. The spa isn’t huge, but the treatments are solid and the setting is incredibly relaxing.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to this place — and why it scores an 8.9 overall — is that it strikes this perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. You can spend your morning diving the Blue Hole, grab lunch at the restaurant (which serves surprisingly good local seafood), and then spend your afternoon lounging by the beach with a Belikin beer. The staff genuinely cares about making sure you have a good time, and there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. It’s just really, really good at being a Caribbean beach resort.

Love the feel and ambiance of the resort. Very tropical – felt more like Polynesian Islands than Belize, but still amazing. It has everything you need so you don’t need to go anywhere else! The value for the resort and rooms were above my expectations. Don’t stay anywhere else! Staff go out of your way to be helpful. They provide airport transportation though it’s only yards away (an easy walk even with a suitcase). Room is quaint, but has everything you need. Didn’t try the restaurant, but everything looked good and prices seemed reasonable. The Ramon’s Dive Shop looked like a one stop shop for all things related to tours, equipment and supplies needed, and helpful guides. I wish I booked my tours through them (will do so next time). A long pier from the resort where you can jump into the (warm!) ocean. The resort is situated on the beach with lounge chairs to watch the sunrise. Can walk out for a quick dip and back. Pool is cooler but refreshing. Poolside bar does have a TV so was able to catch the football game. Spa was amazing!!!! I would have a facial there everyday if I could. Don’t go anywhere else for a facial! Be aware that most of the resorts public space was out in the open, but the many trees provide a lot of shade when walking around.

The decor and styling was amazing, it's a little jungle oasis bringing you some calm, quiet and enjoyable escape from the hectic streets outside the resort. All the food was great and staff were amazing. Diving and snorkeling crews were great. High quality boats and equipment. Had an amazing time.
