The water taxi dock is maybe a 10-minute walk, so getting to the mainland or other cayes is actually doable. The Room Experience

My room wasn’t fancy, but it had everything I needed and then some. The air conditioning worked (crucial in Belize), the bed was comfortable, and there was enough space to spread out without feeling cramped. What I appreciated most was the attention to small details — good water pressure in the shower, decent WiFi, and windows that actually let in the ocean breeze when you want it. The decor leans into that tropical theme without going overboard, which I found refreshing after staying at places that try too hard to be “Caribbean chic.”

The on-site restaurant serves solid local food — nothing that’ll blow your mind, but honest Belizean cooking that hits the spot after a day of snorkeling or exploring. I actually ended up eating there more than I planned because it was convenient and the portions were generous. Breakfast was simple but fresh, and they make a mean coffee that pairs perfectly with watching the sunrise over the water. The staff seemed to genuinely care about making sure guests were happy, which goes a long way when you’re trying to unwind.

  We loved our cabana on the water, the pool, and the convenience store on site. Very good prices for everything and we chose to utilize their on site golf cart rental company and airport transfer service for a small fee. Very glad we did that and had no stress getting to/from airport or worrying about golf cart hiccups, since the company was right there with us if we needed anything! Concierge was extremely helpful when we had flight issues and the restaurant staff were extremely friendly and fun to talk to all week- great conversation with EVERYONE on site. OH the massages on site were AWESOME, TOO! That was great having on site-

  The pools and the location were great.

  The cabana was in an excellent location on the beach. It was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. We would book this again.

  Location was great – quiet and far enough from the noise and traffic of the city. Close to many restaurants within walking distance. We rented bikes from the retreat and biked to town and to Secret beach – both easily done on bicycles. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Roger Navarro was super helpful with booking activities for us. Rented kayak to do some extra snorkeling and spear fishing along the barrier reef, launching kayaks right off the beach from the retreat. Relaxing place to be!

  The food was excellent! You must try the Fry Jacks! Even more so, the customer service was superb. The staff is so attentive they remember your name, whether you like coffee or tea, and make Mimosas with fresh watermelon juice.

  Quiet, beds are comfortable at least for the luxury villa not sure about the other rooms, fully stocked kitchen supplies. This would be a great stay for big families and of planning to make meals. Staff were helpful and friendly.
