First Impressions

When you first pull up to Brahma Blue Resort, honestly, it feels like you’ve stumbled onto something special that most tourists haven’t discovered yet. This four-star property sits right on Costa Del Sol in San Pedro, and I mean right on it — you’re basically steps from some of the clearest water I’ve ever seen around Ambergris Caye. The whole place has this laid-back Caribbean vibe that’s polished enough to feel special but not so fancy that you can’t walk around in flip-flops.

The Location Magic

You know what really struck me about this spot? It’s positioned perfectly for couples who want that romantic island getaway without being completely isolated from everything. The resort sits on a quieter stretch of the coast, but you’re still close enough to San Pedro’s main strip that you can wander over for dinner or drinks when you want a change of scenery. I watched the sunrise from the beach here, and there’s something about having that stretch of sand mostly to yourself that makes the whole experience feel more intimate. The fact that couples rate this location so highly makes complete sense once you’re actually here.

Your Room and Amenities

The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of comfort and tropical charm — think clean lines with local touches that don’t feel forced. What I really appreciated was how they’ve designed the spaces to take advantage of those ocean breezes, so you’re not constantly battling the AC. The spa here is actually worth your time, which isn’t always the case at resort spas. They do this thing where they incorporate local ingredients, and honestly, after a day of snorkeling or fishing, it’s exactly what you need.

Activities and Dining

The tennis court surprised me — it’s well-maintained and gets good use, especially in the early morning when it’s cooler. But really, the fishing is where this place shines. The staff knows the local waters incredibly well, and they can set you up with everything from casual reef fishing to more serious deep-sea excursions. For breakfast, they keep it simple with continental options and grab-and-go choices, which works perfectly when you want to get out on the water early. The restaurant focuses on fresh seafood and local flavors without trying to be overly fancy about it.

There’s free parking here, which might seem like a small thing until you realize how rare that is in this part of Belize. But beyond the practical stuff, what really makes this place work is how it manages to feel both relaxing and engaging. You can spend your entire day lounging by the water if that’s your thing, or you can fill every hour with activities — the choice is genuinely yours. The staff strikes that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering, and they clearly know their guests tend to be couples looking for a more sophisticated island experience. It’s the kind of place where you actually unwind, you know?

  Just wow! The location, the views, the quietness.. just all of it! Staff was so wonderful. We took kayaks out every day and the sunsets were just amazing. This is a hidden gem!! Planning our next trip asap to stay here!

  The rooms were plenty big and had good air conditioning. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and communicative and it was very easy to arrange everything with them. The views were incredible and the activities were fantastic. I wish I could have stayed longer.

  We cannot recommend Brahma Blue enough. We travel a ton and can't remember another time when the customer service was as high as it was here. Darryl especially went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of from our check in to check out: all our taxis, an amazing snorkel tour, drinking water, and even an early boat ride so we could catch the 6am ferry to BZE. In fact, I was a little mind-blown that they were able to offer so many amenities considering the few amount of rooms: a full restaurant, an on-demand spa, pool, on-site activities, kayaks, on and on…. Typically you have to see a hotel with 50+ rooms before you see all these extras. We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

  Upgraded to 3rd floor condo. Marvelous views, expansive apartment with views to both the NW and SE, good beds, good a/c, a minimally stocked kitchen [coffee and teas], and terrific morning and evening light.

  I don’t even know where to begin. The resort is located, and what seem to be a private island, and we pretty much had the entire place to ourselves.. the condo we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view to the lagoon. Perfect for watching beautiful sunsets.. darrell checked us in with a friendly greeting and a brief debriefing of the resort and what to expect. Darrell went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and helped us booked an awesome snorkeling excursion, as well as a couples massage, and arranged a golf cart for us to use to explore San Pedro, and a taxi to take us from the Ferry station to the airport. Darryl went the extra mile and we were very impressed. All of the staff was friendly and very helpful.
  
  The restaurant Coconut Grove, though a bit far from the resort, served some great food. I especially loved their fried jacks!
  
  If you’re looking for a quiet and secluded place to relax, Brahma, Blue is definitely it! I highly recommend it!
